Calmness, peace, and readiness to face the rest of my day. This is what I feel after practicing yoga. I kept practicing during pregnancy. I was searching lessons on youtube, according to the stage I happened to be in. Unfortunately, I didn’t find many. Some were in bad quality, others were way too hard or too short. 5 episodes and 10 minutes routine worked best for me. They are not so long, but you can always do both 🙂 I was feeling really good while pregnant, (my son was kind to me 😉 ), but thanks to yoga I was even more flexible and my back hardly ever hurt.
After Tomek’s birth, I gave up on practice for around two months time, due to lack of organization… It wasn’t so easy to find time between feeding a baby and family visits. But now I am back on track. I prefer to do yoga in the morning, so I try to synchronize with my son’s naps. It’s not always possible, as they are sometimes just 10 minutes long, however, he is usually content with playing on his own for a couple of minutes more. Today he allowed me to exercise for 50 minutes! Which is really long, as I usually do yoga from 20 to 30 minutes. And usually with Adriene.
I discovered her channel Yoga with Adriene long time ago, and I really enjoy it. I guess it’s not for everyone though. We are all different, we like different stuff and other things seem appealing to us. Yoga with Adriene gets into me. You can find someone completely different to guide you through yoga experience.
So my plan is to do yoga as often as I can, to be back in shape, to stretch my body and just to feel good. 🙂
